LC-MS Specialist

An exciting opportunity for an LC-MS Specialist to join a leading biopharmaceutical company focused on innovative drug discovery within the fields of Oncology and Neurological Disorders. This is a pivotal role within the chemistry department, where you will contribute to cutting edge fragment based drug discovery projects working alongside multidisciplinary teams. Based at our client's state of the art facility, this role provides a unique chance to develop and refine your expertise in chromatography and ADME studies, supporting the journey from early stage research to potential new medicines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and operate a suite of open access LC MS systems to support project needs.
• Purify and analyze chiral and achiral compounds, ensuring high quality data generation.
• Run physchem assays and potentially undertake in vitro ADME studies to support drug discovery programs.
• Provide accurate, high quality analytical data to inform chemical series understanding and answer key scientific questions.
• Promote cross disciplinary collaboration and maintain the safe running of laboratory activities.

Role Requirements

• A degree or higher level in a relevant subject (e.g., Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry).
• Proven practical experience working with LC MS systems, including providing physchem data and separating chiral compounds.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for developing new medicines.
