Landscape Planning Lead

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Consultant or Associate to lead and grow our Strategic Landscape Planning, Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) and Townscape and Visual Impact Assessment (TVIA) service. The successful candidate will help shape the strategic direction of this offer, deliver high-quality strategic work, assessments, and support business development across multiple sectors including regeneration, strategic land, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Lead landscape strategies. LVIA, TVIA and landscape-related technical assessments for planning applications and EIAs.
- Ensure re-form's LVIA methodology, templates, QA processes, and technical standards are exemplary and respond to changing legislation.
- Manage and review report production, ensuring rigour and clarity.
- Collaborate with other internal teams to integrate assessment and design.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring for emerging team members.
- Contribute to new business and strengthen relationships with planning consultants, architects, developers and strategic land promoters.
- Support practice promotion, including potential involvement with the Landscape Institute and GLVIA advisory groups.
- Extensive experience delivering LVIA/TVIA work in the UK.
- Good local knowledge (in LPAs close to Leeds and Manchester studio) of major forthcoming developments, Local plan status and allocated land
- Strong understanding of GLVIA3 and relevant planning policy.
- Excellent written and graphical communication skills.
- Experience contributing to EIA chapters.
- Confident in client-facing roles with strong relationship-building skills.
- Competent in GIS or other spatial analysis tools.
- Ability to lead, manage and mentor others.
