Employment Type: Contract ( 4th August 2025 till 28th February 2026)

Hours: Standard 36 Hours Per Week (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm)

Job Description:

You will be responsible to provide hands-on assistance to support the operation and goals of the laboratory by supporting experiments and projects under technical guidance.

• Maintaining equipment to ensure they are always operable.
  
• Applying your technical understanding of equipment to support laboratory operations.

• Relevant industry and/or academic experience.

How you will contribute:

• You will support a range of analyses, prepare and maintain standard equipment and chemicals required for running of an analytical laboratory.
• S upport laboratory activities while ensuring compliance to the appropriate internal and external standards and capture and report data with technical rigor and accuracy.
• To succeed in this role, you will maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment and be proficient in generic and specific software packages.

Daily Tasks will include:

• Will support getting things prepped and ready in the lab.
  
• Will support the Analysts.
  
• This would be a first step for someone into a microbiology environment so it's not essential to have previous work experience or a Microbiology background, as training will be provided in the role, but candidates need to understand they will be working in a very strict environment.
  
• This could become a stepping stone into a microbiology career.
  
• This is an urgent hire with the manager requiring a start date ASAP.
