L1/L2 Operations Lead - SC Cleared | Linux/Windows/Azure
Location: Warwick, UK (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Contract: 6 months
Rate: £325 per day
Security Clearance: SC Cleared or Eligible

We are looking for an experienced L1/L2 Operations Lead to join a leading technology transformation programme supporting enterprise infrastructure environments. The role requires strong experience in Windows and Linux administration along with Azure cloud infrastructure.

This is a 6-month contract position based in Warwick with hybrid working (3 days onsite per week).

Key Responsibilities

• Support and administer Windows (Wintel) and Linux server environments.

• Manage Windows Server including Active Directory, Group Policy, patching, and troubleshooting.

• Perform Linux administration including user access management, permissions, log analysis, and system performance tuning.

• Maintain systems through backups, patching, vulnerability remediation, and storage management.

• Troubleshoot network and infrastructure issues across environments.

• Manage Azure infrastructure including virtual networks, load balancers, storage accounts, Firewalls, and VM provisioning.

• Implement and manage SSL certificates and security configurations.

• Support incident, problem, and change management processes.

• Maintain documentation including SOPs and knowledge base articles.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10-15 years of IT infrastructure/operations experience.

• Strong Windows Server (Wintel) administration experience.

• Solid Linux system administration knowledge.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

• Experience with Identity and Access Management.

• Experience managing server patching and vulnerability remediation.

• Familiarity with IT Service Management processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).

Nice to Have

• Basic knowledge of Oracle, SQL or PL/SQL.

• Experience with VMware or Hypervisor environments.

• Knowledge of SCADA environments.

Security Requirement

Candidates must be SC Cleared or eligible to obtain Security Clearance.
