Job Description

Would you like to join a team that is making a positive difference to the experience of people who have complex emotional and relational needs or have a diagnosis of personality disorder? If so, this role may be for you

The KUF Development Team is a relatively new but established team that uses the national Knowledge and Understanding Framework (KUF) to train the multiagency workforce, including health, social care, criminal justice and the third sector across Norfolk and Suffolk. We are also engaged in other innovative developments such as workshops to support carers.

Due to growing demand, we are looking for an experienced administrator to join the team. You would support our team with the day-to-day operations, improve efficiencies, and become an essential part of our team.

A genuine interest in mental health and commitment to our team's values is essential to the role. This could come from personal experience or interest developed through work or volunteering.

The KUF Development Team champions:

  • Hope - Acceptance and belief in growth
  • Compassionate curiosity - Learning, reflection, and insight
  • Relational understanding - Empathic and validating relationships
  • Overcoming stigma - Challenging misconceptions and recognising potential
  • Co-production - Embracing lived and learned experience

in ourselves, in our services, and in our communities.

Main duties of the job

We would welcome you using your own initiative and sharing your ideas of how the team could innovate.

Essential to your success in this role will be:

  • Your expertise in using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, including organising your workload and problem solving.
  • Team working and effective communication in an often virtual environment.

You would be responsible for maintaining our records, including financial and routine reports, delegate bookings, and creating and maintaining spreadsheets. The role will include effective coordination of in-person and online training and events.

Flexible working options are available by negotiation, which could include working from home and a pattern of working hours that suits you as well as the role.

You must be able to travel independently, as our regular meetings take place at venues across Norfolk and Suffolk.

About us

The Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust (NSFT) aims to create a supportive workplace that values the voice of staff. There will be opportunities to contribute to the development of the organisation and to access a package of staff development and support.

NSFT provides child and adult mental health, learning disability, wellbeing, older people's, and eating disorder services across Norfolk and Suffolk.

This is an exciting time to join NSFT, as we are all committed to its continuous improvement and we can see how our efforts are resulting in positive change.

Our values and behaviours are a set of guiding principles that we aspire to live up to every day. More than 1,300 service users, carers and staff worked together to create these and our overall goal of 'working together for better mental health'.

Part of this is the belief that staff should feel valued by their employers so that they are truly engaged and that the best service is provided to our service users that is possible.

Furthermore, we are committed to co-production and championing people's lived experience of mental health throughout the whole Trust, including within our KUF Team, a well-established Recovery College and People Participation.
