KS2 Teaching Assistant

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in the Northfield area. This is a full-time role starting in September 2026 and is expected to continue on a long-term basis until July 2027.

The role will involve supporting pupils across Key Stage 2, working closely with class teachers to support learning, deliver interventions and help pupils make progress across the curriculum.

The school is looking for a proactive and adaptable Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships with pupils and staff and provide effective classroom support.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2
• Delivering small group interventions in reading, writing and maths
• Providing classroom support to the class teacher
• Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
• Helping to maintain a positive and engaging learning environment
• Following the school's policies and procedures

Required Skills and Experience

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Experience working within a Primary School setting
• Experience supporting pupils within Key Stage 2 is desirable
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A proactive, flexible and supportive approach
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
