KS1 Supply Teachers - East & North Yorkshire

Location: East & North Yorkshire

Start Date: ASAP and September 2026 Opportunities Available

Contract: Day-to-Day, Long-Term, Temporary and Permanent Opportunities

Hours: Full-Time and Part-Time Available

Castle Education is currently recruiting KS1 Supply Teachers to work across a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools throughout East and North Yorkshire.

Whether you're looking for regular full-time work, part-time teaching around other commitments, long-term cover placements, or day-to-day supply, we have opportunities to suit every stage of your teaching career. We encourage both experienced teachers and ECTs to apply.

Working with a large network of schools across the region, supply teaching is a fantastic way to gain experience in different settings while maintaining flexibility and control over your schedule. We are also supporting schools with September 2026 vacancies, making this an excellent opportunity for teachers considering longer-term or permanent roles.

The Role:
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across KS1 classes
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development

  • Choose from day-to-day, short-term, long-term and permanent opportunities
  • Build relationships with local schools and potentially secure longer-term positions
  • Maintain flexibility around when and where you work
What We're Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A passion for inspiring and supporting young learners
  • Adaptable, flexible and confident teaching approach
  • Ability to quickly build positive relationships within different school settings
