Job Description
KS1/ KS2 PPA Cover Teacher - September 2026

We are recruiting for a temporary Primary Teacher for a Primary School in Hindley Green (WN2) to work on a long term basis starting in September 2026!

This temporary KS1/ KS2 PPA Cover Teacher role is to start in September 2026 and run until December 2026. The role involves working 5 full days per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 am-16:00 pm. The teacher will work across all year groups, covering PPA as and when required. A weekly timetable will be provided and you will work closely with the class teachers and support staff while undertaking PPA.

Your role & responsibilities
  • Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work
  • Guiding children through the curriculum and marking work
  • Managing behaviour
  • Upholding the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons
Non negotiables
  • You must have relevant experience teaching pupils
  • Hold QTS
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Be passionate and understanding
  • Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
  • Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
  • Good communication skills
