About the role

We are seeking a proactive individual to join our busy and friendly Innovation and Business Partnerships team as a Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) Manager to drive the ambitious KTP growth plans of the University.

In this pivotal role, you will manage the University's Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) portfolio. Your focus will be on working with University and non-academic partners to develop, write, and submit high-quality KTP applications, as well as overseeing the successful delivery of funded projects. You will provide expert guidance across the University, supporting academic and industry partners to navigate the KTP process and maximize the value of their collaborations.

You will identify opportunities for improvement, recommend enhancements, and implement best practices to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of our KTP operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to support innovation and knowledge exchange at the University of Sussex and promote regional economic growth. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working at the intersection of research and business, we would love to hear from you.

About you

You should be educated to graduate level or have equivalent experience gained in an HE or bid writing setting, with strong project management and organizational skills. A clear communicator in writing and in person, you can explain complex ideas accessibly.

You are eager to make the role your own, supported by a team of professional and friendly colleagues. You are confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships. Your IT skills are proficient, and you can manage your workload efficiently.

If you're proactive, adaptable, and passionate about innovation and partnership, this role will be stimulating and rewarding.
