KMMS-278-25 - Primary Care Faculty Development & Quality Improvement Lead

Are you interested in developing Primary Care Faculty Development Strategy and improving Primary Care and educational activities? Are you passionate about teaching, designing and delivering quality assurance for Primary Care clinical placements in medicine? If so, we would welcome an application from you.
We are seeking inspirational educators and role models to make a major contribution to teaching and the design, delivery and quality assurance of Primary Care clinical placements across the school's undergraduate medicine programme. The post holder will have responsibility for oversight of the Primary Care Faculty Development Strategy and for quality improvement of Primary Care Undergraduate Medical tariff spend and educational activities.
The role is open to suitably qualified individuals who have a specific interest and background in undergraduate medical, health sciences or healthcare education, and who are working in current clinical practice within NHS General Practice.
Please note, this role can be benchmarked to an appropriate NHS Clinical Pay scale depending on the applicant.
AsPrimary Care Faculty Development & Quality Improvement Leadyou can expect to be involved in:
- Delivering and contributing to the design of high-quality, demand-driven, and student- centred taught programmes as a member of the GP teaching team.
- Overseeing the Primary Care Faculty Development Strategy and quality improvement of Primary Care Undergraduate Medical tariff spend and educational activities
- Participating in placement quality assurance activity such as visits to Primary Care placement providers, evaluation of student and placement provider feedback and assessment data.
- Contributing to and influencing preparations for effective internal and external academic quality and governance processes and systems, including those associated with professional, statutory and regulatory bodies.
What will you bring to the role?
- A primary medical qualification and full registration with the GMC, with a current licence to practise
- Current entry on the GMC General Practice Register with a Certificate of Completion of General Practice Training (CCT) or equivalent
- Current entry on the GP Performers List for England
- In current clinical practice within NHS General Practice and commitment to remain in clinical practice for the duration of the KMMS contract
- Fellowship/Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners
- Academic credibility with a track record of excellence in teaching
