Kitchen Porter

We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to join our team at one of our conference venues in Cookham SL6 9QH.

We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high end ethos throughout.

We are looking for a positive, honest, and reliable individual to join our friendly and hardworking team. For the right candidate, we offer excellent training and opportunities for growth within the business.

As a Kitchen Porter, you will work 40 hours per week across 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, with shifts varying from early morning starts to late evening finishes. Your day to day responsibilities will include washing dishes and kitchen equipment, carrying out general cleaning duties, unloading deliveries, and assisting with stock takes. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, take pride in maintaining high standards, and be flexible and adaptable in a busy kitchen environment.

Skills and Experience

• Have experience working in a similar role and environment
• Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high pressured environment
• Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
• Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
• Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 8
• Be customer focused
• Have basic food knowledge
• Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
