Kitchen Assistant

KITCHEN ASSISTANT - ST. MARY'S CARE HOME

Location: 19 Dunstable Road, Luton LU1 1BE.

Salary: £12.75 - £13.75 per hour, performance based.

Contract: Permanent, 24 hours per week with alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assist chefs with plating meals, preparing food trolleys and keeping all preparation areas clean and tidy.
• Monitor stock rotation, ensuring compliance with company policies, COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Assist with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Passion for food, previous kitchen experience.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Commitment to delivering excellent service and creating a homely dining experience for residents.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork and an appreciation of resident interactions.
