Kitchen Assistant

Job Description: Kitchen Assistant - Woodend Care Home. CQC rating: Good. Carehome.co.uk rating: 9.6/10. Salary: £13.30 per hour depending on experience. Permanent full time contract.

• Act as the link between the main kitchen and our residents
• Assist chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys, and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy
• Monitor stock rotation, complying with company policies and procedures and following all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines
• Assist with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties

• Passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
• Ability to deliver excellent service at each meal and make residents feel at home
• Comfortable communicating with others and cherishing the little moments with residents
