Our Melton Mowbray Day Nursery is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team. In this role you support the chef in preparing nutritious, delicious meals and help maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.

About Our Nursery

Set in a renovated coach house, our nursery features bright, spacious rooms with a warm and welcoming feel. Our caring team is dedicated to supporting both children and parents every step of the way.

Location

Conveniently located off Dalby Road, we are opposite Waterfield Leisure Centre and close to St Francis Primary School.

What will you be doing

• Ensuring all production, service and presentation of food is up to standard
• Carrying out all catering activities in line with the budget
• Ensuring any comments regarding the catering operation are noted and acted upon immediately
• Purchasing supplies through the agreed suppliersEnsuring all aspects of the Health & Safety at Work Act are complied with
• Covering all duties in times of Cook's absence
• Assisting within the nursery rooms, this will be advised by either the Nursery Manager or the Cook
