Kitchen Assistant Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Part of Grandir UK Salary £8.00-£12.71 (depending on experience and qualifications with regular pay reviews)

Our Kiddi Caru Nursery in Coronation Road (Bristol) is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Kitchen assistant to join our team. You will play a key role in supporting the chef to create delicious meals and maintaining a safe and clean kitchen. You will work in two settings within 5 minutes of one another in the area of Downend to support the chef in preparing and issuing the meals across two settings therefore it is preferred that you are able to drive and own your own car.

Hours are flexible 25-30hrs per week and would be ideal for someone looking for a role in between school hours

About Our Nursery

Our Approach: At Kiddi Caru Coronation Road, we follow a play based, child centred Early Years curriculum that supports each stage of development from babies to preschoolers. Children explore through programmes like Health & Self, Innovate & Investigate, Move & Groove, Make & Bake and Sow & Grow, helping them build confidence, creativity and a love of learning in a nurturing environment.

Located at 3A Coronation Road, Downend, Bristol, BS16 5SN, our nursery enjoys a peaceful setting in South Gloucestershire while remaining well connected with transport links to Staple Hill, Mangotsfield, Emersons Green and beyond.

Our Team

Our passionate and experienced team are committed to providing high quality early years education. With Level 3 qualified practitioners trained in safeguarding, paediatric first aid and food hygiene, we deliver attentive, nurturing care tailored to every child's needs.

The nursery offers age appropriate indoor playrooms with cosy, home like spaces and a range of stimulating resources. Children benefit from three outdoor garden areas with play kitchens, water play, sand trays and growing benches that support imaginative play and outdoor exploration.

Children take part in a variety of enriching experiences, including physical activities like yoga and sports, creative play, sensory learning and regular themed sessions that support physical, social and emotional development.

Kiddi Caru Day Nursery & Preschool on Coronation Road was judged "Good" in its most recent Ofsted inspection, with positive recognition for the quality of education, care and management.

What will you be doing

• Ensuring all production, service and presentation of food is up to standard
• Carrying out all catering activities in line with the budget
• Ensuring any comments regarding the catering operation are noted and acted upon immediately
• Purchasing supplies through the agreed suppliers
• Ensuring all aspects of the Health & Safety at Work Act are complied with
• Covering all duties in times of Cook's absence
• Assisting within the nursery rooms, this will be advised by either the Nursery Manager or the Cook
