Job Description

Position: KS1 Teacher Contract Type: Full-time, long-term temporary Start Date: 8 September 2026 Location: Haringey, London, UK Salary: £37,870-£56,154 per annum Salary will be determined according to experience and the relevant Outer London Main Pay Range.

About the Role A popular primary school in Haringey is looking for an engaging KS1 Teacher who can help pupils develop secure foundations and a genuine enjoyment of learning. The successful KS1 Teacher will lead a class from September, delivering carefully sequenced lessons in phonics, reading, writing, mathematics and the wider curriculum. You will work alongside skilled support staff and contribute to joint planning across the phase. The school values teachers who are enthusiastic, dependable and committed to helping every child feel successful.

  • Teach an engaging and inclusive KS1 curriculum
  • Deliver systematic phonics and early-reading lessons
  • Develop pupils' fluency in number and calculation
  • Use assessment to plan appropriate next steps

  • Support pupils with SEN, EAL and differing starting points
  • Direct and collaborate with teaching assistants

  • QTS and recent Key Stage 1 experience
