Role Overview

Support a child in Year 1 with SEND on a full time, one to one basis in a nurturing environment in Sutton Coldfield. The successful candidate may also lead phonics lessons on occasion and may be placed for up to a full academic year.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include supporting a Y1 child with SEND on a full time, one to one basis, leading phonics lessons occasionally, and fostering an environment where pupils lead their own learning.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ / CACHE preferable)
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN on a one to one basis
• Experience of MAKATON is preferable but not essential
• Excellent working knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
• Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years
