Job Description
Overview

Aspire People are working in partnership with a 1.5 form entry Primary Academy in Stockport. The Headteacher is looking for a Teacher to join their Key Stage 1 teaching team for maternity leave coverage. This will be a full time role, starting September 2026 for a period of 9 12 months, where you will be engaged through Aspire People.

Key Requirements

The ideal Teacher must have recent experience of teaching Key Stage One in a UK school with QTS and be able to take responsibility for a Year 1 or 2 class (flexible depending on experience). You should deliver engaging, well pitched lessons that support pupils as they prepare for the transition into KS2. The school offers a welcoming teaching team and the SLT is passionate about ensuring the teaching team succeeds.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake the full teaching role, planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Be experienced with pupil assessment, both formative and summative, using this to inform next steps and future planning.
  • Create an inclusive environment where every child can access learning, thrive, and feel safe.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
