Role: Key Account Manager - MedTech - Cardiac Devices and the Cardiac Catheter lab

Exciting new opportunity as Key Account Manager. Exciting opportunity for an experienced Hospital Specialist or Key Account Manager with Cardiac Devices and Cardiac Catheter lab experience. In this role you will work in the sales team and be responsible for growing a product which is in its early stages of adoption within the UK in preventing Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) infections.
In this field-based position, will be responsible for introducing and generating demand for this innovative new to market device with all relevant stakeholders, with a focus on, Cardiologists, physiologists and Nurse Clinical Specialists in your target hospitals accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve agreed objectives and annual sales budget.
In collaboration with the UK NSM establish key opinion leaders (KOL) network.
Develop strategic business relationships with key stakeholders both in the public and private sector.
Provide detailed knowledge and understanding of the Cardiology CIED market.
Develop in depth understanding of the needs and objectives of customers on all levels - both non-clinical and clinical partners, to develop tailored solutions, which improve sales and sales potential.
Create hospital level business plans to identify key stakeholders and drive incremental sales through a combination of commercial meetings and in-field visits.
Promote and sell product by influencing customer opinion (prescribing, non-medical prescribing and commercial)
Spend time in the Cardiac pacing catheter lab environment promoting and driving incremental sales of the product.
Monitor market trends, competitor products and customer needs to identify SMART business objectives and provide timely feedback to all relevant internal stakeholders.
Independently stay abreast of latest information in therapy area and maintain a high standard on training programmes and knowledge assessments.
Deliver training to Consultant Cardiologists and the wider Multi-disciplinary Team to support clinical trials and product utilisation.
Regularly attend and present clinical and commercial updates at internal company meetings.
Monitor clinical activity including and not limited to procedure volumes and CIED pacing theatre activity lists.
Keep up to date with new developments in the NHS, anticipate potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapt strategy accordingly.
The client is an innovative and trusted manufacturer and supplier of specialised procedure packs and medical devices to hospitals across the world.
QualificationsEducated to bachelor degree level or a professional clinical qualification of either Nurse or Cardiac Physiologist (essential)
A full UK driving licence, without endorsements.
Eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom
Local industry accreditation - Medical Industry Accreditation ("MIA"), or a willingness to take and pass.
Person experience requiredExcellent knowledge of Cardiology CIED Catheter Lab environment.
Experience of selling into the Cardiac CIED Catheter Lab environment (desirable)
Proven track record of sales within the Cardiac CIED segment (desirable)
Experience of launching new products (desirable)
Key Opinion Leader ("KOL") development and management (desirable)
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Business acumen & account management
Possess a strong sense of responsibility and have a good track record of working independently and meeting sales targets.
Strong sense of organisation & time management.
Display a working knowledge of health economic tools.
Strong team player. Demonstrated through strong communication, positive peer support, showing responsibility and accountability.
A flair for creativity, thinking up new ideas and solutions to challenges.
Ability to interact effectively and influence all levels of internal and external personnel.
Ability to prioritise work, paying attention to the detail, and successfully complete tasks on time.
Fast learner - able to quickly familiarise with new therapeutic areas and procedures quickly.
Knowledge of anatomy & physiology with the capability to become the product expert across clinical segments.
Competent in the critical appraisal of data and evidence-based medicine.
Strong analytical skills and ability to assimilate and simplify complex data, through a Key Account Management approach.
Flexibility, adaptability and proactive.
