KDB Specialist/KDB+/q Developer

Contract Role - KDB Specialist/KDB+/q Developer - London - 12 Months Initial - Inside IR35

We are looking for a skilled KDB Specialist/KDB+/q Developer to work with the eFX strat/engineering teams to build out our analytics framework in KDB+/q and enhance the overall resiliency of our KDB+ estate. Build out reporting dashboards for key stakeholders based on data within KDB.

Role Overview:

* Strong hands-on experience with KDB+/q development in financial services (preferably Front Office trading environments).
* Solid understanding of market data, eFX, or time-series data.
* Experience building dashboards, reporting tools, or data visualisations.
* Knowledge of distributed systems, resiliency, and performance optimisation.
* Proficiency in at least one other programming language (eg, Python, Java, C++) is desirable.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams (strats, traders, engineers, operations).
