Job Description

New Leaf Search has partnered with a leading European financial services group in its search for a Flow Credit Team Leader.

Excellent salary, bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Greater London / Surrey (Hybrid).

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead day-to-day supervision of the Flow Credit team, ensuring effective allocation and prioritisation of deal queues.

  • Evaluate and underwrite small-ticket credit proposals across all channels, aligned with policies, mandates and governance standards.

  • Analyse financial statements, market reports and collateral curves; produce clear and commercially balanced credit recommendations.

  • Exercise personal sanctioning authority and prepare recommendations for cases outside mandate.

  • Ensure compliance with Consumer Credit, TCF, AML and Data Protection regulations.

  • Oversee periodic reviews of existing customer exposures, including payment performance and collateral reassessment.

  • Maintain accurate data across risk systems and ensure all credit reports are completed within SLA.

  • Attend business screening meetings, providing provisional risk commentary and coordinating the credit process with front office teams.

  • Identify training needs within the team; coach, mentor and support Risk Managers through regular one-to-ones.

  • Perform monthly audits of team credit decisions, ensuring alignment with appetite and governance.

  • Deputise for the Head of Flow, including attendance at NBR forums and supporting reporting activity.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, efficiencies and risk management practices.

Person Specification

  • 3-5 years' credit experience, including analysis of financial statements and underwriting across varied sectors.

  • Strong capability in leading, coaching and developing team members in a credit/risk environment.

  • Excellent analytical skills with sound commercial judgement.

  • Strong communication skills-clear, concise and confident at all levels.

  • Deep knowledge of asset finance products, small-ticket credit, unsecured and structured lending.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; professional, organised and self-disciplined.

  • High integrity and commitment to Treating Customers Fairly.

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly Asset Finance and Leasing.
