Juniper Consultant

Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing end-to-end Juniper solutions for enterprise, cloud, and service provider environments.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
• Analyzing and resolve network performance issues, security incidents, and other problems related to Juniper devices and Junos OS.
• Network Optimization:
• Proactively planning for network changes and enhancements, testing Juniper product features, functionality, and interoperability.
• Security Expertise:
• Understanding network security concepts and implementing solutions using Juniper SRX Firewalls and other security products.
• Cloud Networking:
• Experience with cloud networking and automation using tools like Juniper Apstra, Contrail, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Working with cross-functional teams, providing Level 3 escalation support, and mentoring junior staff.
• Documentation and Change Management:
• Assisting with network design documentation and change management processes.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Juniper Hardware & Software including Juniper MX, EX, SRX, QFX, and PTX series devices and Junos OS.
• Proficiency in BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EVPN-VXLAN, and other relevant protocols.
• Understanding of network security concepts, including Firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security policies.
• Familiarity with cloud networking technologies and automation tools.
• Ability to analyze network issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
