Junior Sommelier

We have an exceptional opportunity to join our Lanesborough Grill Team at The Lanesborough.

The Lanesborough Grill

Our reimagined flagship restaurant is home to Executive Chef Shay Cooper's modern and innovative British cookery, with a focus on seasonal produce from around the country. A richly decorated dining room, naturally illuminated during the day by a domed glass roof while seductively aglow under softly lit chandeliers in the evening, The Lanesborough Grill offers a truly memorable dining experience.

Candidate Profile

As a Junior Sommelier you will provide an exceptional guest service experience. You will be an excellent communicator, genuinely care about guests and take a pro-active approach to constantly develop your wine and pairing knowledge. You will have a real passion for food and wine, enabling you to up sell and promote the items by your personal knowledge from the menu and wine list. You will be a team player, playing a key role in supporting the Sommeliers during service to create a memorable experience for our guests.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

• Experience in a similar role within a fine dining restaurant is essential
• Excellent command of the English language and a second language would be preferred
• Immaculate grooming standards
• WSET (level 3 or diploma) is preferred
• Please note this role requires an element of manual handling and someheavy lifting.
