This position offers a unique opportunity to develop strong foundations in commercial and technology-driven contracts within an international and highly innovative environment. You will work closely with Viridien's Geoscience and High Performance Computing (HPC) teams, contributing directly to enabling business activities while ensuring legal compliance and risk management.You will have the opportunity to work on :Commercial contracting fundamentalsLicensing and Intellectual Property awarenessLegal risk identification, mitigation and escalationCross-functional stakeholder managementExposure to international legal operationsQualificationsDegree in Law (Business Law, Corporate Law, Commercial Law or equivalent)Previous experience in contract negotiation and contract managementStrong contract literacy skills: drafting, reviewing and negotiatingHighly discreet, professional, and guided by strong ethical standardsWell-organized, reliable and detail-oriented, with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approachCollaborative team player, comfortable working in a multicultural and international environmentClear and confident communicator, able to interact easily with a wide range of stakeholdersProactive and adaptable, able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environmentCurious and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in scientific, technical and innovative topicsComfortable working both independently and as part of a teamMust be fluent in English (written and verbal). French is highly desirable.Key ResponsibilitiesContract ManagementReview, draft and amend a wide range of contractsSupport the negotiation of commercial and licensing agreementsPrepare contract amendments and related documentationMaintain contract templates and legal recordsEnsure confidentiality and compliance with internal standardsBusiness SupportPartner with Geoscience and HPC commercial and sales teamsSupport Procurement, Human Resources, Facilities and Marketing teamsTranslate legal requirements into practical and operational guidanceSupport commercial deals under the supervision of the Legal teamEscalate legal and risk issues appropriatelyCompliance & Risk ManagementEnsure contracts align with Viridien legal and compliance policiesSupport compliance with local content and regulatory requirementsWork collaboratively with Tax, Compliance, Insurance and Finance teamsAct as first-line legal support before escalation to senior counselAdditional InformationStart date: As soon as possibleLocation : We are located in Crawley , just south of London-well connected to the capital, the South Coast, and Gatwick Airport for international travel.Contract: Permanent - Full timeWhy work with us?At Viridien, your contribution makes a real impact.
