Purpose

Manage deals originating from the Beacon system to the point of transaction, including an orderly handover to the Transitions Team.

Develop and enhance long-term relationships with EBCs, independent trustees, and other market stakeholders such as lawyers and advisers.

Deliver sales of DB business through the relationships that have been developed with the EBCs.

Job Role Accountabilities
  • Build and manage long-term relationships with EBCs that utilize the Beacon platform and other market stakeholders such as lawyers to drive sales and maintain/improve JR's reputation in the DB market.
  • Assist in the delivery of the business plan to achieve the DB metrics, actively looking for opportunities to maximize profit.
  • Lead on own pipeline schemes from quotation to transaction, ensuring effective risk management of the legal aspects, including obtaining the required approvals from relevant individuals.
  • Contribute to detailed sales pipeline reports and other MI as required, providing updates in team meetings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Pricing, Transition, and Operations teams to enable effective collaboration.
  • Assist in delivering suitable marketing materials (including scheme-specific information) to ensure clear, coherent, and compliant messaging.
  • Participate in and organize relevant marketing events for external clients as appropriate.
  • Attend relevant forums and meetings as required.
  • Work with the owner of the Beacon Proposition to promote it to external stakeholders (Trustees, EBCs, Administrators, etc.).
  • Contribute to the Bulk Platform triage process for potential projects.
  • Optimize Bulk Platform pricing strategy for projects you own.
  • Progress projects from indicative quotations to orderly transactions.
  • Ensure projects reach the transitions team with the necessary information to proceed to BAU.
  • Contribute to developing propositions to make them more attractive to users and stakeholders.
Skills and Knowledge

  • Understanding of the Group's products, services, markets, and regulatory/legal framework.
  • Knowledge of the DB de-risking market, pricing of DB liabilities, annuity products, Solvency II capital requirements, and reinsurance arrangements.
  • Proactive approach to integrating technology into daily tasks and processes.
Experience
  • Experience in the Life Insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of defined benefit pensions legislation and experience in the bulk annuity market.
