Junior Commercial Consultant - Contract/Inside IR35

Methods are looking for a Junior Commercial Consultant for a 3 month contract starting in January 2025.

To support the team with increased project demand by handling sourcing tasks, coordinating commercial activities, and assisting senior team members with procurement and reporting duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Support sourcing activities, including gathering requirements, supporting ITT pack preparation, coordinating clarifications, and assisting with evaluation scheduling.

• Manage day-to-day commercial queries and requests from internal teams, escalating complex issues as required.

• Maintain and update internal commercial systems, trackers, and reporting tools.

• Assist with the preparation and management of commercial pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.

• Coordinate documentation for variation requests, ensuring compliance and appropriate approvals.

• Provide general support to the Commercial team, including planning, organisation, document management, and stakeholder coordination.

• Ensure accurate record keeping and support audit-ready documentation standards.

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience supporting procurement or commercial activities within the public sector or similar regulated environments.

• Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.

• Good understanding of procurement processes, with willingness to develop deeper regulatory knowledge.

• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate reporting.

• Competence with commercial documentation, data entry, and Microsoft Office/SharePoint tools.

• Proactive and supportive attitude, with strong communication skills.
