Junior Clinical Fellow in Adult Intensive Care with Quality Improvement, Innovation and Sustainability
Minimum requirement: Post Foundation Training or equivalent.
Full-time appointment from August 2025 or February 2026.

Main duties of the jobSt George's Hospital, serving southwest London, has 60 critical care beds across GICU, NICU, and CTICU. A new 20-bed ICU is under construction. Candidates may work across multiple units, with preferences accommodated where possible.
We welcome experienced trainees seeking subspecialty experience and novice trainees with no prior ICU experience. Responsibilities will be tailored to experience and overseen by consultant intensivists. The experience gained will support diverse career paths.
Applicants should have completed foundation training or equivalent. UK healthcare system experience is desirable, and GMC registration is essential unless applying for sponsorship.
Successful candidates will be scored at interview and offered rotations based on availability and preferences.

Person Specification Qualifications and Training- Medical Degree
- Full GMC registration
- MRCP/FRCA/MRCS/MRCEM
- Assessment and clinical care responsibility
- Completion of Foundation Training or equivalent
- NHS or similar system experience
- 6 months post FY1 experience in ICU, anesthesia, or medicine
- Skills suitable for junior ICU doctors
- Valid ALS or CALS qualification
- QIP or audit experience in ICU
- Critical Care course attendance
- Understanding relevant to junior ICU doctor role
- Prioritization and teamwork skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Non-technical skills training
- Management training
- Clear career objectives
This role requires a DBS check due to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975 (Exceptions Order) 1975.
