Junior AV Technician

North Hertfordshire £25,000 - £30,000 + Overtime

24 days annual leave + bank holidays + overtime + Christmas bonus + expenses

We are a highly reputable AV Hire and technical event production company, specialising in corporate events of all sizes and locations. With projects across the UK, Europe, USA, and Asia, we are a growing name in the industry with exciting plans for expansion in the coming years.

The Role:

We are seeking a talented Junior AV Technician to join our team and play a crucial role in the preparation, maintenance, and operation of audio, video, and lighting equipment for our events. You will work closely with our experienced team, providing technical support and ensuring all equipment is show-ready and functional.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Testing and preparing equipment in our warehouse, ensuring all AV hardware is in top condition and ready for use.
  • Rigging sound, lighting, and video equipment for each event.
  • Operating AV consoles, including sound desks, lighting consoles, and vision mixers.
  • Building LED video walls as needed.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Occasional delivery of equipment to event sites.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and acting as a point of contact for clients during events.
  • Assisting with equipment shutdown and packing after each event.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least one year of experience in an AV-related role.
  • A UK driving licence.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience operating Yamaha sound desks.
  • Knowledge of video hardware such as Barco, Roland, or Blackmagic.
  • Experience with Avolites lighting programming.

Package Details:

  • Salary ranging from £25,000- £30,000, dependent on experience.
  • Additional pay for weekend work.
  • 24 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.
  • Christmas bonus based on company and personal performance.
