The Team
The U.K. & Ireland are our domestic and most mature markets. Functions include commercial, operations, and marketing. Teams in the UK&I work closely with global functions such as product, technology, and consumer to deliver results for our customers.
The Regional UK and Ireland team is responsible for driving Deliveroo's performance across all 4 nations of UKI. From Brighton to Belfast, we are experts in the local markets we serve. As part of this team, you'll sign up the best restaurants in your city/region. This presents one of the biggest growth opportunities for Deliveroo, and we are building a team of commercially savvy, entrepreneurial, and ambitious individuals to help us reach our potential.
The Role
We are seeking an Account Manager for our Greater London team. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing tech company. Your role involves liaising with highly regarded restaurants in South East England, cultivating existing relationships, and helping increase their online sales. It's ideal for a commercial, outgoing individual who enjoys relationship-building.
Please note: A valid driving license and a car are preferable, as travel to areas such as Leatherhead, Epsom, Crawley, Horsham, Bracknell, Wokingham, and Camberley is required.
This role involves significant travel and outdoor work, so comfort with being on the road is essential.
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintaining and growing relationships with top South East England restaurant partners through strong communication, both face-to-face and remotely
- Driving restaurant performance via data analysis and industry knowledge to maximize order volume and growth
- Negotiating contracts and partnership terms
- Collaborating with restaurant and rider operations teams to enhance operational efficiencies
- Working with marketing teams to accelerate restaurant order growth
- Innovating and presenting new ideas to increase growth and efficiencies
- Becoming a local expert on your cities' restaurant industry, representing Deliveroo to partners
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in account/relationship management or similar
- Effective relationship-building and communication skills, face-to-face, via phone, or email
- Strong commercial acumen and data proficiency
- Results-oriented with a track record of achieving targets and successful negotiations
- Experience in a high-growth, dynamic environment is preferred
- Self-starter, well-organized, and hardworking
- Ability to work independently while meeting restaurant partners in South England
- Additional language skills (e.g., Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, Swahili, Mandarin, Cantonese, Urdu, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, Bahasa/Malay) are valued.
