Oracle Database Administrator

Location: Sweden/Poland/Spain/EU/Remote (Candidate must be based in the EU with 5+ years of recent EU Exp.)

Skills:

• 10+ years as an Oracle DBA administering large, mission-critical databases on Linux/UNIX.
• Oracle certification (eg, OCP/OCE; OCM is a plus).
• Proven, production-grade experience with:
• Oracle RAC on bare-metal, multi-site (stretched/extended) active-active topologies.
• Oracle Grid Infrastructure/Clusterware, ASM, listeners/SCAN, and cluster networking.
• RMAN backup/restore strategies and DR rehearsals.
• Performance engineering using AWR/ASH/ADDM, wait-event analysis, and SQL tuning.
• Data Guard/Active Data Guard (design, build, switchover/failover).
• Strong Linux administration and Scripting (Bash; Ansible/Python desirable).
• Excellent troubleshooting across the stack (storage, network, OS, database, SQL).
• Troubleshooting and performance tuning in production environments
• Experience supporting 24/7 mission-critical systems
• Oracle RAC installations/upgrades (11g/12c)
• Familiarity with Oracle Scheduler and database diagnostics
• Hands-on with Sun Solaris, HP, and Linux OS
• Proficient in Unix/Linux commands and Scripting (Shell, Cron, Perl)

Nice to have

• Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB), resource management, and cloning.
• GoldenGate for active-active or migration scenarios.
• Experience with SAN/NVMe, bonded interconnects, jumbo frames, and latency-sensitive networking.
• Exadata or ZFS Appliance exposure (even if the current platform is bare-metal).
• Observability stack (OEM/Cloud Control, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) and ITIL practices.
• Scheduling verification and coordination with Oracle Support
• Additional RMAN expertise
• Telecom OSS/BSS domain experience (preferred)
• Exposure to IaaS/Cloud environments (preferred)
