Position Overview:

The firm is seeking a Paralegal for its Public Law & Human Rights Department. The role involves supporting up to three qualified lawyers within a team consisting of partners, solicitors, and associates. The work primarily includes judicial review, public law matters, and select planning and environmental cases. There is potential consideration for a future training contract through an internal process.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Handle new client enquiries and assist in case preparation
• Manage file administration and documentation
• Prepare and manage funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency
• Conduct legal research and analyse complex information
• Draft witness statements, schedules, and aspects of legal advice
• Process and organise evidence and case materials
• Prepare, collate, and manage legal documentation
• Attend client conferences, court hearings, and counsel meetings

• Highly motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented candidates
• Strong writing, research, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to handle confidential matters and work under pressure
• Demonstrated interest in public law and human rights
• Relevant experience or transferable skills (legal or non-legal backgrounds welcome)
