Within our Worldwide Logistic and Supply Chain Centre based in Dublin, Ireland, we are looking for: Jewellery Quality Control Specialist - Maternity Leave Cover


Organize and ensure the correct implementation of quality controls on finished products, components and processes for repair internally and externally while respecting Bulgari quality specifications and standards.


The successful candidate will be required to attend a minimum of 2-3 months training in Italywith our Quality Control team in our largest jewellery plant.


Job responsibilities

What you can expect from your role?



  • Ensure compliance using defined quality standards for finished products and coordinating Quality Control inspections for internal production.

  • Communicating regularly with our Quality control team in Italy to ensure quality alignment.

  • Support the management of reported quality issues from the Quality control team in Italy.

  • Working closely with the polishing team to communicate the necessary production needs and give feedback on finished pieces.

  • Manage workload priorities in accordance with supply planning requirements.

  • Ensure Quality Control reports and information are timely and accurately registered in the systems to build relevant reporting.

  • Revise and constantly improve the Quality Control processes and supervise their application.

  • Provide feedback on Quality Control results against established quality standards (Bulgari quality specifications) and contribute the continuous update and improvement of the Quality System.

  • Define and implement metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the Quality Control process, proposing corrective actions to improve conformity rates.

  • Ensure and foster the definition and continuous improvement of the quality of Bulgari products to maintain and develop their high impact on the market.

  • Cooperate with the other departments involved in all initiatives/projects aiming at continuous improvement.

  • Support business events & tours to showcase the quality department, while providing expert quality advice to the business when required.

  • Support annual refresher training both in Italy and Dublin.


Profile

Requirements:


You have extensive experience in and passion for jewellery making at a large scale. For this role, we need someone who can be trusted with a sense of excellence and detail.


Experience with:



  • Raw materials, semi-finished and finished products for the assigned product category.

  • Precious metals including gold and platinum.

  • Gemstone/Diamond Knowledge.

  • Knowledge of Production processes e.g Goldsmith techniques/polishing/casting/soldering/stone setting/Plating/Hallmarking.

  • Jewellery inspection tools e.g loupe/mandrels/calipers

  • Quality control standards in the jewellery industry

  • Quality Management principles and procedures

  • Incoming and in-process quality control techniques
