Our client, a leading organisation based in Killarney, Co. Kerry, is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join their growing software team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-scale applications, contribute to software architecture, and develop high quality solutions using modern technologies. Working across the full software development lifecycle, you will collaborate with cross functional teams to design, build and maintain scalable Java applications that support critical business operations. This is a full time, hybrid position.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot.
- Build scalable RESTful APIs and web services.
- Write clean, maintainable and efficient code following best practices.
- Participate in system design, code reviews and technical discussions.
- Troubleshoot, debug and optimise application performance.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to deliver high quality software.
- Mentor junior developers and promote coding standards.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Strong commercial experience with Java, Spring Boot and SQL.
- Experience developing REST APIs and web services.
- Knowledge of GitHub Copilot (or similar AI assisted development tools).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
- Knowledge of Docker, Microsoft Azure, Linux and PL/SQL is desirable.
- Experience with ERP/CRM integrations would be advantageous.
Salary in the region of €60,000 is offered.
