Java Developer - 12 Month Contract

Rate: £700 per day Umbrella

IR35: Inside

Location: Hybrid - 60% office attendance (Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham)

Clearance: BPSS - must be eligible for SC

The Role

A major Central Government programme is seeking experienced Java Developers to join a digital delivery team.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, developing and supporting large-scale digital services using modern cloud and event-driven technologies.

Experience & Requirements

Strong commercial experience developing applications using Java.
Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
Proven experience working with AWS cloud services.
Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
Strong experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
Experience working within Agile, multidisciplinary software development teams.
Ability to develop robust, scalable and maintainable solutions in complex environments.
Government or large-scale digital service experience is desirable.
