Japan Alliance Lead - Business Consulting & Advisory Partners (BCAPs), AWS

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise customers, including public sector.
Would you like to own relationships with key firms in the Business Consulting & Advisory community and influence decision-making on leveraging Amazon Web Services to drive industry innovation? Do you have the business acumen, technical insight, and experience to engage with C-Level and Management Consulting communities to establish Amazon as a cloud leader?
As a partner development manager within AWS, you will help shape and execute strategies to build awareness and usage of Amazon's cloud platform within the strategic advisory community and their clients. Your responsibilities include developing deep business, strategic, and technical relationships with Management Consulting firms and their clients to identify joint business opportunities. You will collaborate with the AWS sales team to foster long-term business relationships and work with partners to create innovative industry solutions that enable transformational change. You will leverage your relationships with the C-Suite to become a trusted advisor, driving innovation, business outcomes, and industry transformation with marquee enterprise customers.
The ideal candidate will have a business background to engage at the CxO/VP level and a technical background to interact with solution architects and professional services teams. They should demonstrate strategic and analytical thinking regarding business, product, and technical challenges, and be capable of developing compelling value propositions and building organizational consensus. A strong sense of ownership, drive, and execution is essential.
Key job responsibilities- Work with BCAPs to identify joint enterprise clients for business impact.
- Help define and deliver the joint go-to-market strategy as part of the APJ and Japan partnership team.
- Engage with AWS sales and business development teams to support BCAPs in customer support.
- Collaborate with BCAP leadership to develop and execute strategic go-to-market approaches.
- Implement strategic business development plans with internal stakeholders.
- Assist partners in building and enabling AWS practices and positioning AWS solutions to clients.
- Drive industry vertical innovation by bringing customers and advisory firms together to develop market solutions.
- Utilize and other internal systems effectively.
- Prepare and present business reviews to senior management on partner engagement progress.
- Handle complex engagements in the fast-paced cloud market.

Minimum qualifications include:
- Japanese fluency, Business-level English
- 7+ years of experience in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements
- 5+ years within and knowledge of the top-tier Management Consulting community, with experience in complex sales and transformative deals
- Relevant technical knowledge (e.g., Cloud, virtualization, AI/ML) related to business applications and challenges
- Experience in the technology industry
Preferred qualifications include:
- 10+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, or program/product management
- Experience with alliances or partnerships
- Industry expertise in sectors like Pharma, Telecom, Financial, Manufacturing, etc.
- Strong communication, leadership, and cross-organizational collaboration skills
