ITU Nurse - Band 5 - In the Brighton Area

MedicsPro are seeking experienced Registered Intensive Care Nurse (ITU) - Band 5 with recent NHS experience, who are looking for flexible extra shifts or full-time agency work at Royal Sussex County Hospital. This opportunity is to cover Monday - Sunday, Day shifts, during the hours of 8am-8pm. Various Working Shifts Available.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely and accurately administer medication.

Offer clear guidance and support to patients and their families about care and treatment plans.

Manage patient documentation and maintain accurate medical records.

Perform routine procedures such as taking samples, and monitoring vital signs including pulse, temperature, and blood pressure.

Listen actively to understand patients' needs and symptoms.

Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop, implement, and regularly evaluate effective care plans.

Ensure the proper functioning of medical equipment, including ventilators, drains, catheters, IV lines, and pumps.

Contribute to ongoing research-based care and practice development initiatives.

Initiate and implement improvements in clinical practice and patient care.

Perform all nursing duties as required by senior staff, including potentially deputizing for seniors in their absence.

Maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
