Role Overview

We are hiring for an Italian and Japanese speaking Translator to the localisation of a wide range of content, including video games, websites, mobile apps, and product packaging, ensuring accuracy, cultural relevance, and linguistic quality for Italian speaking markets. Languages: Italian to mother tongue + fluent Japanese. Location: London (hybrid) or Remote.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate and proofread video game content and related media from Japanese into Italian.
  • Collaborate with editors, project coordinators, and localisation managers to ensure consistent high-quality translations.
  • Work on a variety of media formats and platforms, maintaining brand tone and style.
  • Manage glossaries and translation memories.
  • Ensure deadlines are met across multiple simultaneous projects.
Candidate Requirements
  • Native-level Italian + fluency in Japanese.
  • Previous video game translation experience - essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and cultural nuance.
  • Experience with CAT tools, especially MemoQ, and ability to learn new software.
  • Creative, collaborative, and able to work under pressure in a team environment.
  • Experience with managing existing glossaries and localisation workflows.
Salary, Working Hours, Benefits
  • £39,000 - £59,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience).
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:30 - 17:30 (1 hour lunch break).
