IT Systems Engineer - VMware/Veeam/Data Centre Migration

Location: Spain, Italy or Poland
Contract: Initial 6 months (Likely Extension)
Rate: Approx. €400/day (All rates considered)

We're looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join a major Data Centre Migration programme, supporting the design, build and migration of enterprise infrastructure across a complex international environment.

This is a hands-on role where you'll work across Windows and Linux server environments, VMware, Hyper-V, Veeam, storage and disaster recovery technologies. You'll investigate the current infrastructure, contribute to future-state solutions and deliver successful infrastructure migrations.

We're looking for a proactive, self-sufficient engineer with previous experience delivering Data Centre or large-scale Infrastructure Migration projects.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years' IT Infrastructure Engineering experience
• Proven Data Centre Migration or Infrastructure Migration experience
• Windows Server and Linux (Red Hat preferred)
• VMware and Hyper-V
• Veeam Backup & Replication
• SQL Server infrastructure
• PowerShell Scripting
• Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP & Firewalls)
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills

Desirable

• Microsoft, VMware or Red Hat certifications
• Cloud platform experience (Azure/AWS)
• Disaster Recovery and colocation experience
• Experience working with Managed Service Providers
