IT Support Apprentice - Level 3

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their team as an IT Support Apprentice. This role offers a unique opportunity to kickstart your career in IT while receiving training and mentorship from experienced professionals. As an apprentice, you will assist with providing technical support to end users, maintaining server infrastructure, troubleshooting networking issues, configuring and supporting their bespoke document management system, print management, and assisting with cloud-based system migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to end users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving technical problems, and providing guidance on IT best practices.
  • Assist with server maintenance tasks, including routine monitoring, performance optimization, software updates, and backup management.
  • Troubleshoot networking issues, including connectivity problems, DNS configuration, firewall management, and VPN setup.
  • Configure and provide support for our bespoke document management system, including user access management, document workflows, and version control.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of cloud-based system migrations, including Office 365 and Azure deployments.
  • Assist with IT equipment procurement and inventory management, including purchasing, receiving, and asset tracking.
  • Collaborate with team members to document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in IT support, networking, and cloud technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
