We are currently looking for an IT Solution Architect.


You will have an important role by designing and guiding the implementation of robust, scalable technology solutions that meet real business needs. With leadership, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping to align the company's technology landscape with its long-term goals, while also mentoring teams and contributing to our architectural governance.

You will report to the Chief Information Officer.

Your mission


You will be in charge of:


  • Translate business needs into clear, efficient and secure technical solutions;
  • Design solution architectures that are future-ready, modular, and aligned with enterprise standards;
  • Develop proofs of concept and prototypes to validate architectural approaches and technical feasibility;
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to development teams and external partners;
  • Engage in vendor evaluation and management, evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools when third-party solutions are involved;
  • Oversees and animates the Architecture Board;
  • Help shape our IT evolution by identifying trade-offs from past technical decisions and proposing realistic modernization paths;
  • Work with stakeholders across IT and the business to ensure proposed solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements;
  • Document your work through architecture diagrams and technical documentation;
  • Ensure solutions are compliant with security and data protection requirements;
  • Contribute to the evolution of architecture practices (including technology watch), helping us grow and improve continuously.

Your profile


To be successful in this role, you need:


  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent academic background; a professional certification (such as TOGAF) is an asset;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a solution architecture or similar technical leadership role;
  • Full professional proficiency in English is required; the knowledge of French is an asset;
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns, application design, and cloud environments;
  • Experience managing technical complexity and guiding modernization efforts;
  • Solid knowledge in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF) and modelling languages (UML or BPMN). The knowledge of architecture tools (such as Archi or Sparx EA) is an asset.


Capability to evolve in an advanced technologic environment:


  • Strong proficiency in web technologies and frameworks such as Angular;
  • Extensive experience in Java development, with expertise in Java-based frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate;
  • Back-end development expertise, with hands-on experience building scalable and performant server-side applications using Java, Spring, and other back-end technologies;
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL;
  • Proficient in designing and implementing RESTful APIs;
  • Familiar with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, including continuous integration, deployment automation, and monitoring tools for efficient software delivery;
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills;
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to drive decisions with confidence and assertiveness;
  • Pragmatism with long-term thinking;
  • Capability to bring people together around shared technical vision and explain complex topics simply and clearly;
  • Collaborative, open to feedback, and continuous learning.
