My client in the manufacturing sector is looking to hire an IT Service Desk Administrator (Level 1) to join their team on a contract basis.

This role is hybrid based - 3 days onsite/2 days work from home, Athlone, Co. Westmeath. This is a 6 month contract job.

Key duties & responsibilities:
  • Provide first-level IT support using Helix ITSM to log, track, and resolve incidents.
  • Assess, prioritise requests, troubleshoot issues, and escalate where necessary.
  • Handle critical incidents in line with business impact and SLA requirements.
  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware, software and MS Office applications.
  • Manage user accounts and application administration in line with IT controls.
  • Support audit reporting & contribute to IT projects.
  • Collaborate with global IT teams.
  • Duties as required by management.
What are we looking for?
  • 3+ years' experience in IT support/service operations.
  • Customer-focused with call centre experience preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting with Azure or/and MS Office365.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and Active Directory.
  • Experience with ITSM tools, remote support tools, and ideally SAP.
  • Experience of prioritising workload and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Good judgment and problem-solving ability.
  • Flexible & willing to travel.
