IT Project Manager - Infrastructure, Cloud & Security Programs

We are currently looking for an experienced Freelance IT Project Manager to support a number of strategic infrastructure and transformation initiatives within a complex enterprise environment. This assignment is suited to a confident and delivery-focused project manager who thrives in technically advanced environments and is comfortable leading cross-functional teams across infrastructure, cloud, and security domains.

The role requires someone who can successfully bridge the gap between business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and operations, while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to broader organizational objectives. You will be responsible for driving end-to-end project execution across a range of initiatives that may include data center modernization, hybrid cloud transformation, infrastructure optimization, security-related programs, and emerging AI-driven operational initiatives.

As the lead project manager, you will oversee planning, governance, coordination, risk management, stakeholder communication, and delivery execution across multiple workstreams. The environment is highly collaborative and international, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to navigate both strategic discussions and detailed technical conversations with architects, engineers, security specialists, and senior leadership teams.

We are looking for someone with a solid background in enterprise IT project delivery and at least four years of hands-on project management experience within complex technology environments. A formal project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or similar would be highly beneficial. Candidates should bring broad experience across data center infrastructure technologies, with a strong understanding of how modern enterprise platforms, networks, storage, virtualization, and operational environments interact within large-scale organizations.

Experience leading private cloud or hybrid cloud transformation initiatives would be considered particularly valuable, especially in environments involving multiple stakeholders, operational dependencies, and enterprise-scale infrastructure. Exposure to IT security projects, governance initiatives, or cyber resilience programs is also highly desirable, as many of the ongoing initiatives involve security and compliance considerations alongside infrastructure modernization.

In addition, experience working with AI or ML Ops-related projects would be viewed as a strong advantage. This could include involvement in operational AI platforms, infrastructure supporting AI workloads, automation initiatives, data operations, or governance frameworks related to machine learning environments.

The ideal consultant is proactive, structured, and commercially aware, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining strong stakeholder confidence throughout the project life cycle. You should be comfortable operating in fast-paced environments, coordinating international teams, and driving momentum across technically complex programs.
