IT Engineer - Location: Wrexham - Salary: £35,000+ - Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:15, Friday 08:00 - 16:15 - Contract Type: Permanent

We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity within a leading manufacturing organisation, looking for an IT Engineer to join their IT team. This role will support the management of the company's IT infrastructure and contribute to the development of bespoke software platforms. It offers excellent scope for career growth and hands-on experience in innovative IT solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support and day-to-day maintenance of systems across the organisation.
• Develop IT solutions and software applications using a range of programming languages.
• Manage and maintain: Active Directory, Windows and Ubuntu servers, SQL databases (SQL Server & MySQL), virtual machines (VMware, vSphere), backups, documentation systems, and NAS solutions.
• Microsoft Office 365 and Windows operating systems.
• Network devices including switches, firewalls, printers, and user endpoints.
• Software installations and ongoing hardware/software configuration.
• Support local and remote users across multiple offices via collaboration tools such as MS Teams.
• Assist with database management, system queries, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Relevant IT qualification (HNC/HND or Degree) with 1-2 years' experience in IT support or software development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
