We are recruiting for an IT Engineer on contract to work for a leading Government organisation based in Wolverhampton.

Essential Requirements

• Must have SC clearance or be able to gain it
• UK National with a UK passport
• Must join the OOH rota and standby
• Must have a full clean driving licence
• 2+ years of experience in a PC field service or workshop environment
• Hardware skills: Diagnose, troubleshoot, support, and repair, including complex laptop repairs
• Accredited or willing to undergo HP & Dell desktop and laptop training

1. Manage queue tickets assigned to their Hub and surrounding spokes, ensuring timely updates and call management to meet service levels as per contract
2. Manage Hub stock, including asset management of kit in/out, scanning items in/out of locations as per contract
3. Manage disposals through their Hub according to contract
4. Perform hardware repairs of in-warranty equipment and liaise with vendors for parts and returns
5. Replenish lockers as appropriate
6. Identify potential service issues and suggest improvements to their Team Leader
7. Follow all agreed processes and procedures, including site regulations
