IT Engineer

We are recruiting for an IT Engineer on a contract basis to work for a leading Government organisation based in Wolverhampton.

• Must have SC clearance or be able to obtain it
• UK National with a UK passport
• Must join the OOH rota and standby
• Must have a full clean driving licence
• At least 2 years of experience in a PC field service or workshop environment
• Hardware diagnosis, troubleshooting, support, and repair skills, including complex laptop repairs
• Accredited or willing to undergo HP & Dell desktop and laptop training

• Manage queue tickets assigned to their Hub and surrounding spokes, ensuring appropriate updates and call management to meet service levels as per contract
• Manage hub stock, including asset management of kit in/out, scanning items in and out of locations as per contract
• Manage disposals through their Hub as per contract
• Perform hardware repairs of in-warranty equipment and liaise with vendors for parts and returns
• Replenish lockers where appropriate as per contract
• Identify potential service issues and suggest improvements to their Team Leader
• Follow all agreed processes and procedures, including site regulations
