Senior Solutions Architect - First EMEA Hire (Service Provider Networks)

Location: UK / Ireland (Remote-first, with occasional travel to Amsterdam)

About the Opportunity

We're working with an innovative, venture-backed network infrastructure scale-up that's changing how telcos build and automate large-scale IP networks.
They've just secured a major Tier 1 Service Provider client in Europe, and they're now hiring their first Solutions Architect in EMEA to support and expand this relationship.

This is a technical consulting and customer-facing role - perfect for someone who knows the ins and outs of Service Provider networking and enjoys working closely with clients.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting a newly signed Tier 1 telecom client on architecture, integration, and technical delivery
• Running pre-sales discovery, network design, and solution validation (POCs, demos, etc.)
• Acting as a key technical advisor during implementation and beyond
• Collaborating closely with product and engineering to relay customer feedback and prioritise feature requests
• Helping define processes and frameworks for future EMEA growth
• Occasionally visiting the client in Amsterdam for workshops and relationship-building

What We're Looking For

We're not looking for enterprise IT consultants or software developers. We need someone who understands how telco-grade data networks work at scale.

Must-Have Experience:

• Service Provider (SP) IP Networking - You've worked with or for telecom providers (e.g. BT, Vodafone, COLT, DT, etc.) on routing, switching, or transport networks
• Strong pre-sales or solutions architecture background with a customer-facing mindset
• Deep understanding of protocols: BGP, MPLS, Segment Routing, EVPN
• Hands-on experience with platforms like Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or Nokia
• Confident in front of both network engineers and senior technical stakeholders
• Based in the UK, Ireland, or EMEA - and open to occasional travel to Amsterdam

Bonus Points For:

• Experience designing or deploying large IP/MPLS backbones or Metro Ethernet networks
• Exposure to white-box networking, NOS development, or network automation
