About the company

Our client supports life sciences, healthcare and health tech businesses through fundraising and strategic transaction activity. They combine deep sector knowledge with a targeted, data-led approach to investor engagement, helping innovative businesses connect with the right investors to achieve their growth ambitions.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing specialist advisory business, supporting innovative healthcare, life sciences and health tech companies as they raise investment.

Working closely with clients, partners and campaign teams, you'll build relationships, identify opportunities and help connect businesses with the right investors, while supporting the successful delivery of fundraising campaigns.

Our client is looking for a commercially minded, relationship-focused individual with experience in investor relations, business development, account management, consultancy, client success or another commercial role.

Ideally, you will have experience within life sciences or healthcare. However, our client is also keen to hear from candidates who have gained relevant exposure across the broader health ecosystem, including digital health, diagnostics, biotechnology, medical technology, nutrition, wellness or related sectors.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identify and prioritise investor engagement opportunities across live fundraising campaigns.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with investors, clients and key industry stakeholders.
  • Follow up investor enquiries and convert interest into meaningful conversations.
  • Coordinate activity across multiple fundraising campaigns, ensuring clear plans, priorities and deadlines are maintained.
  • Communicate confidently with clients, providing updates and helping campaigns remain focused and on track.
  • Support targeted investor communications and marketing activity.
  • Use CRM data, market intelligence and campaign insight to identify opportunities and inform decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, activity pipelines and campaign reporting.
  • Assist in preparing high-quality investor presentations, communications and supporting documentation.
  • Share market insight, investor feedback and sector intelligence to help strengthen future campaigns and our client's profile within the healthcare and life sciences investment community.

What They're Looking For

Essential

  • Commercially minded with a passion for building strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience in business development, account management, client success, consultancy, project delivery or a similar commercial, client-facing role.
  • Relevant experience or exposure within healthcare, life sciences, health tech or the broader health ecosystem. This could include digital health, diagnostics, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, nutrition, wellness or another related sector.
  • Able to understand complex healthcare and commercial concepts and communicate them clearly and confidently.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Commercially aware and analytical, using data and insight to support decision-making.
  • Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate records and pipelines.
  • Proactive, organised and detail-oriented, with a self-motivated approach.
  • A confident ambassador who represents the business professionally.
  • Based within commuting distance of Manchester city centre and happy to work from the office on a regular hybrid basis.

Desirable

  • Experience in investor relations, fundraising, venture capital, private equity, corporate finance or transaction support.
  • Direct experience within healthcare, life sciences or health tech.
  • Experience coordinating commercial projects, campaigns or multiple stakeholder workstreams.
  • Salesforce or similar CRM experience.
  • Experience within a professional services, consultancy or advisory business.
  • Degree qualified, ideally in a scientific, healthcare or business-related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • An interest in AI tools and technology-enabled ways of working.

Transferable Experience Welcomed

While direct healthcare, life sciences or health tech experience would be ideal, they are also keen to hear from candidates who have developed strong commercial, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills within the broader health ecosystem, including areas such as digital health, diagnostics, biotechnology, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, nutrition and wellness.

Candidates with relevant experience in business development, account management, client success, consultancy or other commercial, client-facing roles are encouraged to apply.

They value curiosity, commercial awareness, sector understanding and the ability to build trusted relationships just as highly as direct investor relations experience.

What Success Looks Like

Over time, you will:

  • Develop a strong understanding of our client's services, sectors and investor network.
  • Build confidence managing multiple fundraising campaigns simultaneously.
  • Deliver structured, proactive investor outreach and follow-up activity.
  • Turn market insight and investor engagement into meaningful commercial opportunities.
  • Build lasting relationships with investors, clients and colleagues.
  • Contribute ideas that improve campaign performance and strengthen our client's reputation within the healthcare and life sciences investment community.

What They Offer

This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad commercial experience, take ownership early and develop your career within a growing specialist advisory business. You'll play a key role in connecting innovative businesses with the right investors and contributing to the continued success of the business.
