Harmonic is delighted to be working exclusively on behalf of a dynamic, fast-paced TV & Film production company, in their search for an Investment Manager.
As a highly regarded SME in the film production industry, you will be joining a scaling organisation who is renowned for their dynamic, sociable and non-corporate culture.
Due to their continued growth, they are looking for an Investment Manager who has a passion for TV & Film to support wider team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an investment banking environment, with VERY strong Excel skills, who is enthusiastic and detail-orientated individual with prior experience to join their dedicated team. You'll be working very closely with the CEO on strategy and portfolio and project management, giving you great visibility and opportunities to make a real impact on business and strategy. There are great opportunities for growth in this role too.
This role presents a unique opportunity to actively contribute to a well-respected, prestigious business in the TV and Film industry and significantly influence their ongoing success. You'll have opportunities to learn more about the film production and finance industry-so a passion for the Film and TV industry is integral!
The Role
Reporting to and working closely with the CEO, you'd be responsible for providing insights, analysis and models to support with investment decisions and manage portfolio performance. Your key responsibilities include preparing investor decks, monitoring portfolios to track concentration limits and ROI, and analyse possible opportunities and provide models to guide strategic decision making.
This is an incredible opportunity for someone with experience in investment banking or corporate strategy who is keen to move into the SME/TV and Film industry to make a real impact on a growing SME and the content they work on.
The ideal candidate will be very skilled in Microsoft Excel, and is ambitious and proactive to support with modelling, automation, and implementing efficiencies. This role is heavily centred around business partnering, so strong communication skills are key.
Most of all, a passion for TV and Film is integral!
Responsibilities
- Review and analyse overall investment and loan performance
- Track key financial outcomes like returns and performance ratios
- Provide data insights and reports as needed
- Build and maintain connections with potential investors
- Create and share presentations for investor updates
- Work closely with partners on planning and launching new projects
- Conduct research and financial checks before approving new ventures
- Monitor the balance, risk, and returns across investments
- Evaluate new opportunities to see if they fit business goals
- Help shape portfolio strategy to guide investment decisions
- Ad hoc tasks and analysis to support the CEO and COO
What We Need to See (Essential)
- Strong Excel and modelling skills
- Previous experience in an investment banking or corporate role
- A passion for TV and Film!
What We'd Like to See (Bonus)
- Previous experience managing a portfolio within media/entertainment/tv/film
Package:
Salary: £55,000-£65,000
Working Pattern: 5 days in office with some flexibility for hybrid - 4 days in-office, 1 day work from home (WFH) over time
Ideal Start: ASAP or 1 month
