Investment Manager - Outside IR35 - Insurance

Korn Ferry is supporting a leading UK health and insurance organisation within its Group Investments function and is seeking an experienced Investment Manager for a consultancy engagement to provide short-term additional capacity across investment, risk, sustainability, and investment transformation activities.

The consultant will work closely with the Head of Investments, taking ownership of a range of investment-related activities and supporting the implementation of a major investment technology and operating model transformation. The role will suit an experienced investment professional who can operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and quickly add value within a complex insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Group Investments team across a range of investment management and advisory activities
• Take ownership of investment-related workstreams and deliver outputs independently
• Support the implementation of a major investment technology and operating model transformation, including investment system outputs and associated documentation
• Contribute to investment risk management, risk metrics, and associated analysis
• Support climate and sustainability-related investment activities and reporting
• Undertake investment due diligence and assessment of ad hoc requests from different business units
• Support work relating to financed emissions and climate disclosures
• Provide day-to-day support across investment PMO and transformation activities
• Work closely with senior stakeholders across Investments, Risk, Sustainability, Finance, and the wider business

Essential Experience

• 5-7 years' experience within investment management, investment advisory, or a closely related investment environment
• Strong understanding of investment management and investment risk
• Experience working within the insurance sector, ideally within a large or complex organisation
• Ability to operate independently and take ownership of work with limited supervision
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment
• Good understanding of ESG and/or sustainable investment principles

Desirable Experience

• Experience working with Aladdin or similar investment management platforms
• Experience supporting investment technology or operating model transformation programmes
• Experience with climate metrics, financed emissions, or sustainability reporting
• Experience working within a Group or multi-market investment function
