Investment Director - Energy Transition (Paris-based)

A dynamic and growing investment platform focused on renewable heat, energy efficiency, and flexibility projects is seeking an Investment Director to join its Paris office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support all stages of the investment cycle: sourcing, structuring, investment committee preparation, due diligence, closing, and post-investment management.
• Mentor junior team members, helping them grow through active project collaboration.
• Identify and assess investment opportunities with project developers and industrial/technical partners, in France and internationally.
• Analyse technical and financial feasibility, mitigate contractual and operational risks, and structure complex deals.
• Negotiate core project contracts with internal and external advisors and stakeholders.
• Secure non-recourse financing from banks.
• Oversee the ongoing management of projects, including contractual, financial, and operational aspects.

Profile Sought:

• 7 to 12 years' experience in infrastructure or energy transition project finance.
• Graduate of a top-tier engineering or business school.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong skills in financial/legal structuring, risk analysis, contract negotiation, and strategic presentation.
• Strong interest in the energy transition, with an entrepreneurial and team-oriented mindset.
